New York’s Other Half Brewing have announced a worldwide collaboration beer to raise funds and awareness for the hospitality industry. With bars, restaurants and taprooms across the world closed or with operations severely limited due to the Coronavirus, Other Half want to do something to give back to the industry we all love so much.
“Raising awareness about the devastating losses in the hospitality industry is the core vision of this project.
We want to keep these losses at the forefront of conversations so that anyone who wants to help can learn what is happening and find a way to contribute to the recovery.”
– Matt Monahan, co-founder, Other Half Brewing.
The #AllTogetherBeer project invites any brewer, from any corner of the planet, to participate by providing the tools needed to make the beer at the lowest possible cost, including an open-source recipe, artwork, and name. In exchange, the collective asks that a portion of the proceeds go to supporting hospitality professionals in each brewery’s own community with the rest going to the brewery themselves to help weather this storm.
Other Half Brewing will be donating their proceeds of All Together to the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation.
It’s great to see UK and Irish breweries getting involved including Boundary, Whiplash, Wylam and Northern Monk.
