If you’re unfamiliar with Toast, they’re tackling food waste by making beer using leftover bread on an industrial scale. It’s pretty awesome. You can find out more about Toast and try their homebrew recipe here.
They’ve just announced that all of their beers are now 100% vegan friendly.
Their beers no longer contain any animal products – having switched to vegan filings (used to filter and stabilise beer) in December 2017. They previously used isinglass in the brewing process, so there may still be old bottles out there that aren’t vegan, but anything with a 2019 best before date is definitely 100% vegan.
You asked. We listened.
Our beer is now vegan!Note: All beers with a best before date in 2019 are vegan. We will be updating our labels to make it super clear for customers. #RaiseAToast ? to #Vegetarian & #Veganbeers pic.twitter.com/a6M3YzWXUR
