Italian brewery, Birra Del Borgo, was founded by Leonardo Di Vincenzo in Borgorose, Rieti on the border between Lazio and Abruzzo. Acquired by A-B InBev in 2016, Leonardo still serves as CEO and continues to brew beer he’s passionate about, having given up a Phd in biochemistry to do so.
LISA is their classic lager coming in at 5%. It’s brewed using Senatore Cappelli wheat grain from the Puglian countryside and the best Italian orange peel. With a rounded, bready malt flavour alongside citrus notes and spicy floral hints, LISA finishes with a subtle bitterness.
The Italian ritual of a drink and light snack to catch up with friends and family, unwind after a day at work, or whet your appetite ahead of dinner – basically any excuse for a drink really – means LISA is the perfect food pairing for any occasion. Although let’s face it… if you’re in Italy, you should be having pizza.
Want to try LISA? Come by stand 104 at Craft Beer Rising which takes place in London, 21st-23rd February. It’s also available in London at Luppolo Pizza and The Chelsea Corner.
